FAQ - Frequently Asked Questions

How can I lighten my skin?

You can brighten the appearance of your skin by reducing melanin-related causes of dark skin. Simply Bright™ works by targeting the enzymes that trigger melanin production to decrease their activity, thereby reducing melanin production.

Is this a skin bleach?

No. Simply Bright™ uses a completely different approach to brighten skin. Simply Bright™ formulations rely on patented ingredient Resaphenone and its N-H-A Complex™ for its breakthrough enzyme technology.

Does Simply Bright™ contain Hydroquinone?

No. Hydroquinone is a skin bleach and has been linked to certain carcinogenic concerns.

Why is SIMPLY BRIGHT™ different?

Simply Bright™ with N-H-A Complex™ targets both the Tyrosinase and MMP Enzymes to inhibit their activity, reducing the melanin production and skin thinning and loss of elasticity at their start. Patented ingredient Resacetophenone binds with these enzymes to block their effect.

Unlike other skin lightening products which use hydroquinone, a bleaching agent that causes skin irritation and is identified as a carcinogen, immunotoxicant and developmental and reproductive toxicant, SIMPLY BRIGHT™ combines Resacetophenone with Arbutin for excellent suppression of the Tyrosinase Enzyme and proven skin brightening.

Proprietary, patented Resacetophenone, also binds to the MMP Enzyme, inhibiting its ability to break down collagen and elastin in the skin, helping to maintain a more youthful, smoother appearance.

Simply Bright™ combines its enzyme inhibiting N-H-A Complex™ with inflammation soothing, naturally-derived Magnelol and Honokiol to additionally calm and brighten the skin.

Independent laboratory results confirm the brightening and smoothing actions.

What is the difference between the Simply Bright™ Brightening Cream and Concentrated Brightening Serum? How do I use them?

The serum is formulated for targeted treatment to specific areas. Its high potency formulation offers powerful skin brightening in a thick, serum medium. The rich cream is more spreadable and can be used in more general areas which need brightening and tone-evening.

To make the most effective use of the products, first dab the serum on areas of special concerns, like dark circles, age spots, winkles. Then follow with the cream on top of the serum and in the surrounding areas. Blend into the skin.

Follow with a moisturizer, since these brightening formulations are not diluted with water or other humectants.

Why is the serum sometime clear and other times it is an amber color?

The active nature of some of the ingredients turns the serum from clear to amber. THIS DOES NOT AFFECT THE EFFICACY of the formulation in any way.

Will the effects of the products be permanent?

No. The effects will last while you use the products. If you stop using them, your skin will return to its previous condition.

Can I go out in the sun?

Yes. But using a sunblock of SPF 15 or greater is recommended.

What causes dark skin, hyperpigmentation, dark spots and wrinkles?

Increased melanin pigmentation causes dark skin, hyperpigmentation, dark circles and age spots. Melanin, the pigment in darker skin, plays a crucial role in the absorption of free radicals. Inflammation, which can result from UV exposure, free radicals, reaction to food or chemicals, environmental stress and general stress, stimulates melanin production and the local activation of the Tyrosinase Enzyme, a key enzyme triggering melanin production. Darker skin shows evidence of greater Tyrosinase activity.

Inflammation is also among the major causes of skin aging and known to cause the degradation of collagen and elastin in the skin. Aging and the increase of the body’s own MMP Enzymes (Matrix Metalloprotease Enzymes) cause further thinning and elasticity loss of the skin, resulting in wrinkles and other signs of aging.

How long will it take to see results?

While each person is different, visible results can be perceived in as little as 3-4 days and generally are seen within 4-6 weeks.

In tests using 24 participants, ages 25-45 years old, within 4 weeks, 100% of the participants showed visible improvement reducing dark circles; 83% showed measurable improvement in the reduction of wrinkles and improved skin elasticity; and 93% showed improvement in reducing the puffiness around the eye area.
